Banana Sapphire is an indica-dominant hybrid (75%) with interesting heritage, viz. Banana OG (OG Kush x Banana Kush) and Sapphire OG (OG Kush x (OG Kush x Afghan)). Banana Sapphire can develop into very large plants with equally high yield potential.
Suitable for both indoor and outdoor cultivation, Banana Sapphire displays great vigor in either environment and has a high appetite for nutrients. Its growth pattern of narrow fan leaves and wide spacing between the internodes allow for a good deal of light penetration as well as circulation of air, something that is even more beneficial in a grow room. Flowering in this environment takes around 9 weeks or just under with good yields of 450 – 500 gr/m2. Trellising, or other support, is advised as buds can grow quite large and weighty needing support. Please note that plants will double in height once flowering is triggered.
Outdoor plants are at their happiest when cultivated in either arid desert or high, mountainous regions with plenty of sun exposure, although they will grow in other outdoor environments. Plants can grow to be in excess of 450 cm. tall and produce 5000 gr. per plant or even more. Northern hemisphere harvests can be expected during the first half of October. In whichever environment these plants are grown any yellowing of the leaves should be taken as a sign that they are hungry for more nutes. Other than that, this strain is quite maintenance-free.
The terpene profile shows acrid petrol and black pepper along with more subtle tropical fruit with banana wand sweet mango undertones.
