Ghost of NYC is a 70% indica hybrid that was created by crossing two hitherto uncirculated phenos, viz. a special NYC Diesel (East Coast Sour Diesel line) and a 4-way Geist OG plant. The East Coast (NYC) Sour Diesel possesses a really special suite of terpenes and, mixed with Humboldt Seed Org’s Geist OG, growers and consumers can be guaranteed sensory overload.
Ghost of NYC is more sativa-like in appearance, with long, thin leaves and good spacing between bud sites, though having a majority of indica genetics and indica-like effects as well. Growth is highly vigorous, and the longer inter-nodal length is noticeable early on in the life cycle. Plants will more than double in height during flowering and, therefore, if the height of the grow room is limited plants should be vegged. for a shorter period of time to control height. SCRoG is very successful as is ‘topping’, both techniques will control vertical growth at the expense of more width. Plants like a good supply of nutes so feed accordingly, but as always, learning to ‘read’ your plants always pays dividends. Ghost of NYC responds well to bone meal periodically during flowering when grown in soil.
Indoors, flowering takes approximately 9 weeks with yields in the region of 400 – 450 gr/m2. Outdoors, plants can grow to be 450 cm. tall yielding over 4000 gr/plant with harvests ready in mid-October in northern latitudes. Resin production is very high, with secondary and tertiary buds providing excellent extract material. Elongated flower clusters display bright, lime green coloration. This strain does well in more temperate climates and in areas of higher humidity.
Fuel (petrol/gasoline) and lemon are the dominant scents with notes of sweet and sharp pine and lemon grass.
